Welcome to Solidarity and Loyalty, formerly known as Crossing the Line Undrawn. [Different name, same semi-sorta-great site. ;)]

This site is meant to be a haven for those who enjoy the relationship, be it their amazing friendship and/or a potential romance, between Harry Potter and Hermione Granger of J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter book series, played in the film adaptations by Daniel  Radcliffe and Emma Watson.  H/Hr shippers, particularly since the release of Half-Blood Prince and a following interview by JKR, have few places they can call their own without being trashed by others, and I strive for this to be one of those places.  It's also my hope that S&L can present a positive front for the H/Hr ship (which, IMO, already has an unduly ugly reputation/stereotype in fandom) that any open-minded member of any ship can see if they choose.  I welcome and appreciate all polite feedback from members of any ship.  :)

Yes, I did read HBP, and yes, I saw The Interview of Doom. I still think Harry and Hermione make a damn fine pair, and I prefer H/Hr to what I saw of Ron/Hermione and Harry/Ginny in Half-Blood Prince. That said...

This site is A No-Weasley-Bashing Zone. No harm to any of them came from the making of this site.  ;) (After all, Harry and Hermione both love them all.)

Well, I guess I have the answer to the questions I asked in the previous post. Not exactly encouraging. I know from the tag-board and the hit counts in the image galleries that people still visit this site... the feedback and submissions simply aren't there anymore. I'm holding out for building OotP hype hopefully getting people more inspired again, but so far... again, not encouraging. Anyway, for those of you still out there, I do have a small update for tonight.

H/Hr: 30 OotP behind the scenes caps - including shots of the scene of H/Hr in the forest with Umbridge and the centaurs - from last week's HBO behind the scenes featurette.
Site: One new affiliate site - Just As Sane As I Am, a Harry/Luna shipper site I started recently. (Yes, it is possible for me to ship both. ;) I've found that H/Hr and H/L shippers by and large actually get along a lot better than other contradictory pairings out there anyway.) I've also updated the 'Spotlight' materials on the sidebar of the site.

Kind of sobering - I haven't received submissions of any sort since the last update. Without submissions, there's only so much updating I can do. I know people have been visiting here, if the tag-board is any indicator. ;)

I'm willing to grant this is simply a slow period for Potter right now - we're in a dead time as far as news for the next movie or book is concerned. (Then again, Star Wars doesn't have anything new coming and I've still been getting submissions to my SW site.) But if things don't pick up soon... well, there are things I'm going to have to reconsider about the future of this site. I do very much enjoy H/Hr as a ship, but there is another Harry ship I'm somewhat more involved in right now (not H/G!), and I've been growing disenchanted with the attitude among a large section of H/Hr fandom lately anyway. Because of this the main reason I've kept the site open is because of anyone out there who might still enjoy it, but right now my interest in H/Hr alone - which as I said isn't quite as strong as it once was - is not really enough fuel to keep this site going.

Is anyone interested in the possibility of a fan video section for this site (or anything else regarding the site anymore)? I've got the webspace for a vid section now, but if there's no interest... either way, let me know on the tag-board or through my email.

OK, I've managed to steal a little bit of time on my laptop before it goes into the shop for a couple of weeks, so I decided I'd get some kind of update up. :)

Just a quick note to let you guys know I haven't dropped off the Earth. :) Again, another busy month RL-wise - and it's going to continue to be so, since this is a super-hectic time of year at work and I'm moving the first week of next month, which means I've got a lot to take care of before then. My HP-shipping brain has also been largely eaten by another ship lately (no, it's not OBHWF ;)), which has pushed H/Hr into second-favorite status right now. Don't worry, I still love H/Hr, at least as a fanon ship, and I've no intention of quitting this site. :) Hopefully I'll have something for you guys in the next week or so. At the very least, I've put up a new set of spotlighted materials for June. :) And I've removed the WinAmp page under Misc.

Right now it's a slow period news-wise in the Potterverse - in the interest of keeping things moving around here, what would you guys think of starting up the wallpaper challenge this month? Does that sound like something you guys would be interested in? If you've got suggestions for a theme, either drop me an email or a comment on the tag-board. :)

Also, let's remember to not post OotP film spoilers on the tag-board - it's really too early for anything substantial yet (sheesh, I wish we had some pics already), but I don't want anyone who doesn't want to be spoiled for the film to come across something they didn't want to see here.

Whoops! Sorry for the long stretch - got some RL stuff eating up my time. Unfortunately, that RL stuff also means this is going to be a small update, but I do have more to add soon. :)

For now, there're two new H/Hr wallpapers by me (Aeryn), and seven new H/Hr icons by me. These icons, as well as one of the wallpapers, are an original manip of mine, and are NOT to be posted elsewhere.

I've also gotten a start on the Misc. section, which at the moment just has a (small) section for WinAmp skins. I'd also like to start a regular fan art/wallpaper challenge there sometime soon - does that sound like something you lot would be interested in participating in? Let me know on the tag-board or by email.

Last set of GoF DVD caps! 'Death of Cedric' through the Veritaserum/Fake!Moody revelation (96 Harry, 9 Hermione), and the Parting of the Ways (36 Harry, 9 Hermione, 51 H/Hr).

Now that the GoF caps are taken care of, I will have a few image additions in other areas to add, as well as some fan art. Eventually I think I'm going to go back and redo the DVD caps for the first two films, since I didn't do remotely as extensive a job capping them as I did PoA and GoF, as you can tell by the number of caps in each of the film galleries. ;-)

Next set of caps... sorry, there's not a lot of H/Hr in this bunch. There really isn't much interaction between them between the Second Task and the end of the movie! ;) Tonight it's 'Never Whole Again' through the Pensieve scene (121 Harry, 3 Hermione, 7 H/Hr), the Third Task (120 Harry, 5 Hermione), and the Voldemort sequence (193 Harry).

I'll finish putting up the last caps for the movie tomorrow night, and of course there will be plenty of H/Hr caps in that bunch. :)

As you might notice, there's been a bit of a change to the main graphic. :) When I designed the main graphic I always wanted it to be Yule!H/Hr, but at the time didn't have a decent quality pic of Yule Harry. So... change! Canon or no, we still have the best-looking ship in HP, dangit. ;)

New tonight: 1 H/Hr wallpaper (Stacey); 1 Hermione wallpaper (also Stacey). Several new promotional, hi-res, and still images added throughout the Harry, Hermione, and H/Hr GoF galleries. Added one new H/Hr site link (Subtle Signs).

Those of you wondering about this site's stance on hosting music videos: I do plan, very soon, to have a space on this site for them. For the moment, I am accepting links to videos that are hosted offsite. I do plan to directly host videos on S&L at some point, but that's something I have to work out with my webhost, since I would need to arrange for more space and bandwidth (since videos are obviously huge eaters of both of those).

Still accepting HBP book moments for anyone wanting to send those in. Sure, that book had a bit of a blow for us, but there was still plenty of good H/Hr in there. ;)

SO sorry for the extended hiatus, guys! Hope you all like the new name and layout. :) I'm planning for this to be the beginning of a new age for this site, one where I update a LOT more frequently. ;) So we've had a rough year with certain Half-Blood Princes and Interviews... I'm still loving this ship, possibly more than ever. *g*

Since my main priority was getting the site itself up, I don't have a lot of new content added yet - there are some new avatars up in Harry's, Hermione's, and H/Hr's sections, and the GoF film moments page is up (though HBP's isn't up yet), as well as H & Hr's bios being updated with info from HBP. I'll be getting to the rest of the content sometime this week.

Also, most of the galleries are still down. I managed to re-upload all of Harry's PS/SS and CoS film galleries (and the H/Hr image of the month), but everything else remains down for the moment. If you come across any broken links anywhere other than the ones I mentioned, don't hesitate to let me know.
