- When Hermione first meets Harry and Ron on the train, she says she already knows all about Harry, that's she's read all the books on him.

- Chap. 9 (The Midnight Duel) page 160, when Harry, Hermione, Ron, and Neville are running from Filch they come upon a locked door leading to Fluffy.  As the guys panic, Hermione grabs Harry's wand out of his bathrobe pocket and unlocks the door.  I thought it was very girly of her to grab Harry's wand and not her own. Odd that Harry didn't seem to mind.  - sent in by Jennifer M.

- It's Harry who remembers Hermione is in danger from the troll, and makes the first move to go after her.

- Hermione fiercely embraces Harry before he goes to (unwittingly) face Voldemort; the two awkwardly compliment one another.

- Hermione is ready to embrace him again after she sees him recovering in the infirmary.
