Specs:
This site was formerly known as Crossing the Line Undrawn, but was changed in December 2005.  This site was created August 7, 2002, launched on the Geocities server; moved to thepensieve.net domain on August 28, 2002.  It was created using Microsoft Front Page, and the current graphics were designed in PaintShopPro 7.0 and Adobe Photoshop CS.

Why it's here:
I love Harry Potter, and though I consider myself largely Swiss in my shipping tendencies (I love almost any ship), I've got an undeniable fondness for Harry/Hermione.  It's the HP ship that inspires me the most creatively, despite that Ron/Hermione and Harry/Ginny are apparently the obvious ships.  I chose to channel that creativity into a website.  Harry/Hermione shippers are the underdog as is and have fewer quality places to go to where they can revel in their favorite ship, and that's what I'm striving for here.

The Site Name:
'Solidarity and Loyalty' comes from Order of the Phoenix.  When Harry wants to charge into Umbridge's office to use her fireplace to contact an apparently endangered Sirius - a risky endeavor - Hermione offers to accompany him to the office, to provide help in case he needs it.  It's a course of action he knows Hermione is against, and he recognizes her offer as one of solidarity and loyalty - two traits I especially admire about the Harry/Hermione friendship.

Previous Layouts:
The current layout is version 8, Knight and Lady, featuring images from Goblet of Fire.

The first layout was a fairly ugly-ish clunky cinnamon-brown frames layout based on this image.  The second layout, Movie Kind of Love, which existed from August 29 - October 16 2002, is here.  Version 3 was Chamber of Secrets, which lasted from October 16, 2002 - August 2, 2003.  Layout 4 was "In the Arms of the Angel," from August 2 to December 30, 2003, and was a red layout featuring the famous Harry-protecting-Hermione picture from Prisoner of Azkaban.  Version 5, "Stolen Moments," was a purple-themed frames layout featuring deleted scenes and behind the scenes moments from Chamber of Secrets.  The next layout - the one before the current one - was a pop-up, orange tinted frame layout based on the famous Trio headshot PoA poster, and was called "Pumpkin Haze."
